PRODUCTS I USE AND RECOMMEND
Many of these products have stood the test of time and some are new. I am always on the look out for Organic, Non GMO and chemical free feeds and supplements. I believe horses should be fed primarily a forage based diet, as they would in nature. Even performance horses. We can feed supplements in timothy, orchard and/or teff grass hay pellets and cubes. Ontario Dehy and Semican hay cubes and pellets come from certified Non GMO fields. Standlee has USDA Organic Alfalfa pellets. Standlee also provides non-GMO straight Timothy Grass, Orchard Grass and now Teff options. Mixes do contain GMO's. Read Labels! We need to continue to ask for Organic and Non GMO Project Verified products. Where we spend our dollars really does make a difference.

Glyphosate, the main ingredient in Round-Up, is the most pervasive chemical weed killer sprayed on crops to kill weeds and dessicate (dry) crops prior to harvest. Why is this important to know? Because it is in all commercial feeds and supplements in various levels. Including horse feed. And, you won't find it on the list of ingredients.
Please read the article series written by Anthony Samsel and Stephanie Senaff on how glyphosate gets into protiens like keratin and disrupts the tight junction that hold the hoof wall to the coffin bone.

CHAFFHAYE
It's not very often you find Non GMO Project Verified Feeds. I feed this to my herd and many of my client horses have it added to their diet. It is a fermented food and great for supporting the microbiome. Please visit their site.
Animal Trace Minerals...
The best supplement I have ever used or recommended for growing healthy hooves for over 10 years.
A DIFFERENCE YOU CAN REALLY SEE
This is a natural product mined from ancient fossilized plants. These plants lived during a time when the earth was teaming with soils that were alive with an ancient biome.
Please read the science on how it works

HAY NETS
Hay nets are no longer a new thing. There are a lot of vendors making and selling them in all sizes, shapes and budget. I have been using them for over a decade.
Cut your hay bill, less waste. Gives your horse a more natural eating pattern by using incisors to pull the hay out and makes the hay last much longer. Essential for easy keepers.
Just Thrive is I product I have personally used myself. It is beyond Probitics as it is Spore based.
I have recommended this for some horses with gut problems. Just break open 3-5 capsules and add to feed daily until the 30 day bottle is gone. Feed it during the full moon cycle for maintenence. The results have been amazing!
For some cases where we need an extra immune boost or to cycle using something a little different I use and recommend Dr. Mercola's
Complete Spore Restore
ESSENTIAL OILS
I have been using essential oils through most of my career. I have found them tremendously helpful with new horses, nervous horses and especially with horses that have had unpleasant expereinces with hoof care.
There are many to choose from. I use oils from Mountain Rose Herbs, Young Living, doTerra and Vibrant Blue Oils.
I let the horse choose, and the most popular ones are Lavender, Peace and Calming, Palo Santo and Valor

Buddy's new hoof after changing to a non inflammatory diet and adding
KIS Trace
Stands for "Keep It Simple". This is a Forage Balancer and is not the same as Animal Trace Minerals. It balances specific minerals and nutrients that are low and/or missing from the modern horse diet and according to regions. Our forage lands and hay fields are depleated and missing many vital major and trace minerals. Much of what is added to complete feeds and supplements are of low quality, less bioavailable and often inflammatory. Exposure to Glyphosate also chelates essential minerals for good hoof growth out of the body, so supplementation is a must. Glyphosate is the most pervasive agricultural chemical in our environment today. KIS Trace has quality bioavailable ingredients in the amounts necessary to produce results.
I have been feeding this to my herd for several years, and recommending it to horse owners as well. Results are noticed in a short amount of time for many which include a tighter hoof connection, thicker / tougher soles and walls, leaner body mass with no other changes. I love this product!
UPDATE: There is a new flavor available now. If your horse didn't like the fenugreek, this may just be your ticket!. There is a monthly subscription available now as well

Cedarcide Bug Spray and more...
I have used CedarCide bug repellent for several years and I love this product!. It is an organic product free of the poisons and harmful additives found in most commercial sprays made for horses. I use THE BEST YET or ORIGINAL when trimming. Everyone loves the fresh cedar scent, and I am often asked where to get it. You can order it here.
DMSO
Dimethyl Sulfoxide has been used in Veterinary and human medicine for decades. But you need to educate yourself on how to use it safely.
I helped my Mom beat stage 4 melanoma using DMSO as part of our natural care approach.
Many of my clients have learned to use it not only for their horses, but dogs and themselves. I'll never be without it. It has a myriad of uses and benefits and it is very cost effective
